Nigra

Nigra is a flowering cherry-plum tree (Prunus cerasifera) notable for its intense purple-black leaves. The young shoots and bark have the same dark colour.

The blossom arrives in early spring and is a light pink colour.

Nigra is a relatively fast-growing tree, with attractive spreading proportions, reaching a medium-large size in 5-10 years and quickly becoming an attractive and distinctive addition to the garden.
